Associate Minister Youth, Young Adults & Creative
Devonport Church of Christ is looking for a passionate and emerging pastoral leader to join our team as Associate Minister – Youth, Young Adults & Creative.
We are a healthy, multi-generational church with a clear desire to see ordinary people transformed by Jesus, living out their faith every day and helping others follow Him.
Following our recent centenary, we are entering an exciting new season with a strong focus on disciple-making, developing leaders and empowering the next generation.
The role
Your primary responsibility will be to lead and develop our ministry among teenagers and young adults, helping create a culture where young people don't simply attend church but become lifelong disciples of Jesus and learn to make disciples themselves.
You will also provide leadership to our creative and communications ministry, helping us communicate the gospel, tell the stories of what God is doing and engage people creatively with the mission of the church.
The role will include:
*Leading and developing youth and young adult discipleship.
*Building authentic relationships with teenagers and young adults.
*Identifying, mentoring and releasing emerging young leaders.
*Developing a strong team of youth and young adult volunteers.
*Teaching and preaching regularly.
*Creating opportunities for mission, service and spiritual formation.
*Working alongside parents and families.
*Providing leadership to creative and communications teams.
*Contributing to the wider pastoral life of the church.
